Anatomically correct heart pillow for Valentine’s Day? Yes please! I used this great tutorial by Hearts and Sharts (fits of giggles), she has a great template to use for the applique. I used random scraps from my stash to and linen for the background. The pillow case has zipped up back, since I thought linen wouldn’t lie nicely as an envelope case.
That little Hello Kitty peeking from below is my favorite part!
I have been practicing my quilting skills, since I’m in Beehive Swarm Quilting club hosted by Blossom Heart Quilts, as well as in Quilt Block Boot Camp organized by Sew Delicious. Here are a couple of blocks I have been working on, hoping to have a full size quilt by the end of the year. A really, REALLY scrappy quilt 🙂

February Is Heart Month so this pillow would go along nicely with the theme. I think I would like to see the applique on a sweatshirt or tote bag. Thanks for sharing,

Oh how perfect, it does indeed goes very well with that theme. The original tutorial provider for this applique did put it on a tote, it looked quite cute!

I had to look closely to find the kitty 🙂 It is a cute cushion. I can't wait for our new couch to finally arrive to make a few cushions. The couch was sent to a wrong port haha So it is a bit of a saga now. I have always been intimidated by quilts, but now looking at the blocks you and the other girls I feel I know are making I am starting to believe I could do it too!

Quilting is addicting!! Don't get into it unless you want to start making quilts for every sleeping surface in your home 😉 No but seriously, you should join our Quilt Boot Camp, it's no pressure at all and doesn't require much supplies to just try your hand out in different blocks. Plus Ros! runs it
