My newest nephew, Jer-bear, has been born to a family of huge Star War fans. I wanted to make something for him that would reduce his shock of having to memorize all of the Episode 4, 5, and 6 (too bad they never made 1, 2 and 3…. right?)
I found this amazing fabric (*update* It appears this fabric is no longer available, very sad indeed) on Spoonflower while I was spending all of my money browsing. I feel like I saw a fellow blogger talking about it first, but I cannot seem to remember it now. The designer had the fabric printed in 7x7squares and all of the unique squares fit onto a Fat Quarter. Something about the layout just screamed “Baby Book” to me, so that is what I did.
I am all about textures/sounds in baby books, so those had to be added to each page!
This was super fun to make, I had layered the pages with felt and top stitched everything, especially the ribbons, to make sure pages are extra strong. And finally, here is a gif to show the order of the pages, just for fun ๐ May the Force be with you all!
