First of all, none of this is my fault! It was Santa’s idea. You see, this Christmas, Santa got Nic a race car bed. And if you ever met him (Nic that is, not Santa) you would know, the child is obsessed with anything Transportation. Cars, trains, and airplanes, he loves them all. But things with wheels are still his #1. Moving him into his own bed is a big deal, so we figured why not try anything we can possibly think of to make sure he wants to stay in his bed and not wonder around at 3am asking for a glass of water. So that is how Santa came up with the idea of a race car bed.
This pillow was made in a day and a half but boy was it harder than I had anticipated! Mostly because there was a lot of hand sewing due to the shape of it. The black parts are micro suede, grey is super soft fleece and the race car emblem (N is for Nic) is felt. The pillow is filled with poly fill, and can I just say? I really love it! I cannot wait to give it to Nic for Christmas and cannot wait to take a picture of it on the assembled bed (will have to update this post after Christmas!) Even my husband took it for a spin around the living room, complete with Vroom Vroom noises and all.
